For future computers won’t need huge hard drives; instead, documents will be uploaded to virtual hard drives on the internet, where they can be shared.

There are many advantages of this way of working:

  • We avoid errors caused by having multiple versions of the document.

  • Every member of the team works on the same version.

  • Is easier to publish and distribute documents.

This is one of the most popular services. E-MAIL: Is a system which allows users to send messages to each other. NEWSGROUPS: Are spaces for discussing each other's topic suggested. FILE TRANSFER: Quick file transfer using FTP and file sharing on peer to peer. VOICE COMMUNICATIONS: Converts voice into data packets under IP. ONLINE: Radio, television and press. OTHERS: Shopping for a wide range of items and services.

2- HOW DOES INFORMATION TRAVELS?

  1- A user types a web address. 2- The router sends the request to the ISP. 3- The request is routed to another machine, DNS server. 4- DNS translates domain names and obtains their associated binary identifiers. 5- The IP protocol sends the information packets to the destination server. 6- The host server executes the request and returns the HTML. 7- The user’s web browser receives the information and processes in order to display.
